As a family child care provider director, responsibilities include overseeing the health, safety, and welfare of each child ensuring that standards are met for high quality care. A positive approach is utilized and the uniqueness of each individual is addressed. Observations are performed and reflected upon through assessments. Care plans are created meeting the needs of children and relationships are developed with parents/guardians through confidential communication in a cooperative manner in an effort to ensure needs are met not only in the child care home, but also in the home involving all in the child's upbringing. Learning is promoted with a curriculum ensuring social, emotional, physical, language, and cognitive developmental needs are met. Lesson plans are created and implemented following the Connecticut Early Learning & Development Standard domains. Enriched activities encourage children to engage in play while exploring their curiosities. Strive for excellence in professional work ethic.
