A Child's First 1,000 Days Are Critical. By age 3, a baby's brain has reached 80% of its adult size. The quality of experiences during the first 1,000 days of life establishes either a strong or fragile foundation for everything that follows. When children are encouraged to explore in a safe and supportive home environment and a nurturing child care setting, they experience long-term benefits in the classroom.

Did you know that children's brains grow and change more in the first 1,000 days of their lives - that is, from the time of conception to their second birthdays - than at any other time? The brain starts as a handful of microscopic cells. By 2 years of age, the brain has developed into a complex organ that allows children to learn to walk, talk, and read. And it's ready for new changes and experiences, like learning math, reasoning, and complex thought.

Stepping Stones provides a safe, clean, beautiful, and stimulating space for your baby. There is two caregivers to 4 Children in this program. Parents communicate every morning about any special needs their infants may have on each particular day. Loving and caring Caregivers give each infant lots of stimulation, attention, and time. We provide the baby wipes and you provide the diapers. Since infants may be sensitive or allergic to certain foods, you provide us with everything your infant will eat or drink. When they go into the next group, we will provide healthy snacks twice a day and healthy home cooked meals. Good infant care is neither baby-sitting nor preschool. It is a special kind of care that resembles no other.
