Stepping Stones Family Childcare

Stepping Stones Family Childcare is a Christian, Reggio-Inspired and Play Based In-Home Family Childcare in the heart of the Cambrian community accepting ages 12 months through five years. We serve breakfast, lunch and two snacks in the cost of tuition. I (Katie Connet) have a BA in Child Development and have experience as a preschool teacher and elementary tutor. Early Childhood Education is my passion and I am so thankful to those who trust me with their little ones. It is not something I take lightly.

Mission: Here at Stepping Stones we strive to provide a Christ-centered, safe, loving and nurturing environment for all who come through our doors. It is our goal to meet each child where they're at and help them discover their fullest potential. We desire to have each child feel a sense of belonging in their learning environment.

Philosophy: We are a Christian, Reggio-Inspired and Play Based home family childcare for ages 12 months through 5 years old. We believe in the strong impact of the parent, teacher and environment as learning aides to a child's development. We strive to have a balance of structure and emergent curriculum. We believe children learn best by constructing their own knowledge and by the teacher and parent feeding the child's interests to learn more on desired subject matters. We believe that play is one of the best ways a child can learn.
