I am not a licensed child care center, I am a stay at home dad of two kids and I keep additional kids in the home. I have two daughters; age 2 and almost 2. I previously worked as a public school teacher for 8 years teaching 4th and 5th grade. I've been watching additional kids in our home since August 2014 and have since watched two different sets of twins; 4 month old twins for 10 months until they moved away and more recently 2 year old twins until they had a change in their family situation.
I am hands on, patient, full of energy, and love to have fun. I enjoy getting down on the floor and playing with the kids, spending time outside, teaching through experiences and exploring, and doing arts and crafts. I don't keep more than two children (in addition to my own) at any given time, that way I can give the kids individualized attention.
I currently have one full time opening for an infant, toddler, or preschooler. The rate ranges between $200-$285/weekly, depending on age and situation. Our home is located in east Durham, a couple of miles from Brier Creek (Raleigh). Its convenient to 1-40, 1-85, 147, 70, and 540.
