Our program here at Saint James Christian Pre-School is to be a ministry to young children and their families based on the belief that each child is a unique gift. We are committed to fostering the continuous growth and development of each child, whilerespecting his/her right to be different. This includes working with the children and offering many opportunities for challenge and success. <br/> <br/>Our goal here at Saint James Christian Pre-School is to provide an enriched learning environment which fosters the maximum possible growth for a child, spiritually, mentally, physically and socially. Our staff is highly trained and will promote a healthy self-image by allowing a child as much freedom of choice and expression as possible. <br/> <br/>Here at Saint James Christian Pre-School the &quot;free-flow&quot; based program offers opportunities for fostering independence, creativity, and self-esteem that comes from knowing unconditional love. The child has the freedom to make choices in an environment that has been designed especially for him/her.. <br/> <br/>The areas of learning within the classroom consist of: Bible stories, prayer, art, language, arts/pre-reading, block building, dramatic play, science corner, manipulative area, pre-math and a snack cooking area. In the mornings, we offer a Pre-Kindergarten program to aid a child's transition into Kindergarten. <br/> <br/>We also offer a two-year-old program designed especially for the young toddler. We do not require that children be potty trained in this program. They must be potty trained for the Preschool. <br/> <br/> <br/>Enrollment <br/>Saint James Christian Pre-School is open to all children between the ages of two (2) through five (5) years old. The Pre-School is non-denominational and children of all ethnicities, religion, and cultures are welcomed. Register by submitting an application form with a $100.00 registration fee. Applications are available at the Pre-School office. As space becomes available, applicants are accepted following an interview between child, parent and Supervisor. It will be determined at that time if the child is ready to benefit from our Pre-School experience. <br/> <br/>Ratio: We maintain a high staff to child ratio of 6:1. <br/> <br/>Organization <br/>Saint James Christian Pre-School is a ministry at Saint James Lutheran Church.
