Blossom Z., M. ED, Founder, Lead Instructor:
Blossom brings a lifetime of experience working with children to her private instruction practice. Blossom received her BS in Regular and Special Education from the University of Maryland, and then went on to receive a Masters in Education with Special Emphasis in Emotionally Disturbed Education from American University. Blossom has numerous Certifications, including Regular Education, Special Education and Special Education Administration from the state of Maryland, as well as Regular and Special Education Certifications from the state of Pennsylvania. Her professional affiliations include the Council for Exceptional Children, Learning Disabilities Association, Children and Adults with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Tourette Syndrome Association and Who's Who in American Education.

Blossom has held numerous positions with various school districts in both Maryland and Pennsylvania, with a special focus on Special Education. Blossom loves working with children, and believes that every child is capable of learning. Blossom started Specialized Educational Services, LLC because there was a need in south-central Pennsylvania for private, customized learning solutions. While the practice started out working solely with children with learning challenges, it has grown into a full service tutoring and private educational practice. We strive to help children "blossom"! Tutoring: (specializing in K-8) and special needs

We have general and specific assessments to see where your student is performing: Educational & Home school students in need of evaluation and/or additional instruction, evaluation or private tutor.

Multisensory, Orton-Gillingham based, hands on, individualized research based materials to increase skills in:
Reading: decoding, comprehension and phonics,
Written Expression: spelling, sentences and applied writing skills,
Math: basic understanding of number skills, basic operations and fractions & decimals or in certain cases, higher math,
Consultation: Advocacy, IEP and Section 504 assistance,
Parent Education: Understanding Special Education, what questions to ask, how to advocate for your child.
