This is a Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care Center which will provide a comprehensive mix of healthcare, childcare, education & social services under one roof. The mission of Special Hearts will be to provide medically fragile children between the ages of birth to 8 with a continuum of medical care "Prescribed" by their Doctors in a "Stimulating" Daycare environment. It will be staffed by experienced Pediatric RN's, LVN'S, CNA'S & Therapist that will evaluate the children during the day as many times as their condition warrants. Additional staff will include Certified Educators, Social Work Services, Respiratory Care, Nutritional Support, and Resource Family Support. The staff will also work hand-in hand with the children's physicians to facilitate their advancement through specialized training and innovative learning systems, which are the cutting edge in terms of child development. This curriculum, coupled with a state of the art custom designed facility and a 3:1 child to nurse ratio ensures top shelf service for the children and their parents.
