At Songbird Montessori our mission is to foster the growth of confident, caring and successful children. We offer a child-centered, home setting with low teacher to child ratios, and a mixed age arrangement. It is an ideal learning environment that helps children learn how to learn and become life-long learners. Our program allows children to experience peer learning, leadership and pro-social development in a safe and nurturing way.
Our educational philosophy encompasses the most progressive ideas in early childhood education. We follow the theories of great educators of young children such as Maria Montessori, Jean Piaget and Reggio Emilia.
We are a licensed facility with The Child Care Council of Suffolk County .
