About
Hi! My name is Ms. Vaughn. I am providing in-home childcare with a focus on school readiness for children ages 4 and 5. I am a licensed North Carolina teacher and mother of four wonderful children ages 10, 5, 4, and 1. I have been providing childcare for over 15 years. I have been a teacher in North Carolina Public Schools for 6 years. As a parent, I understand the dilemma in finding affordable, quality care. This is why I am transitioning from the public school system and providing a more one-on-one approach to ensure that each student is receiving a stellar education and is able to enter school performing at or above grade level. My program will include daily phonics, reading, writing, math, science exploration, monthly field trips, and Spanish immersion. As an educator, I am aware that children must begin with a strong foundation in order to succeed in their future endeavors; and I am going to make sure that together as parents, students, and educators, we will create a solid foundation to get our students started on the path to success.
