About

Mission
The mission of Smarty Pants Academy is to provide high quality early care, education, and out of school programming to children ages 2 1/2 years through age 13. To facilitate our mission, we implement an on-going cyclical quality improvement plan. This is a process which is used to identify a program’s strengths and opportunities for improvement and is a key part of high-quality early learning and care programs and services. Continuous quality improvement is a process which ensures that an organization and its partners are systematic and intentional about improving services and practices and increasing positive outcomes for families and their children. This process is valued and used here at Smarty Pants Academy. A hard copy of our Quality Improvement Plan is available for viewing. It is located in the Director’s office and can be requested at any time. We can also provide you with a hard or emailed copy of the Plan.

Our Philosophy
Our philosophy is that a truly high-quality Center provides excellent early care, education, a high level of health and safety, as well as opportunities for parent education and involvement.
Warm, supportive, and respectful relationships between adults and children lie at the heart of an effective partnership between parent and school. We believe that early care and education (ECE) centers can and must be the place where children, parents and caregivers, and teachers alike can feel a sense of belonging and safety. These are the key values of our program.
The center does not and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status, in any of its activities or operations. These activities include, but are not limited to, hiring and firing of staff, selection of volunteers and vendors, and provision of services. We are committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for all members of our staff, clients, volunteers, subcontractors, vendors, and clients.
The center is an equal opportunity employer. We will not discriminate and will take affirmative action measures to ensure against discrimination in employment, recruitment, advertisements for employment, compensation, termination, upgrading, promotions, and other conditions of employment against any employee or job applicant on the bases of race, color, gender, national origin, age, religion, creed, disability, veteran's status, sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression.
