SMARTutoring Center is a Washington state non-profit agency governed by a volunteer Board of Directors representing the diverse sectors of the populations we serve. Originally incorporated in August 2012, SMARTutoring Center is investing in the future by creating a nurturing and supportive learning environment that empowers students through scholastic, social and civic experiences. We are committed to developing a sustainable supplemental educational system that reaches all ages and levels within our community.

SMARTutoring Center has an innovative proactive approach in addressing the community's need for supplemental education support. Our vision is to raise our community standard of education and advance society's expectations of the student's educational ownership. We offer tutoring in a wide variety of subjects which include but are not limited to: Science, Mathematics, Arts, Reading and Technology. This variety of subjects is aimed toward giving our students the ability to reach for a brighter future.

Research shows one on one tutoring improves students' grades, cognitive abilities and overall self-esteem. Increasing students knowledge and establishing their confidence improves test-taking skills and results in decreased anxiety. Research also shows students who begin to fall behind in their studies tend to lose confidence in their abilities. This creates high risk of dropping out of school and developing depression. Through the help of individual tutoring students can better keep up with their studies, thereby gaining confidence and avoiding such risks.
