I am pleased to utilize my professional background as a Preschool Teacher and educational background in Speech Pathology to have my licensed in home facility. Small Beginnings is based on the belief that each child will show growth if given the opportunity in a loving environment. Developing a relationship of trust with my kiddos and their family is a very important key to the structure of my program.
A big component of the day is our schedule, providing a classroom setting to prepare for Kindergarten, as well as play-based learning. The children will know what to expect before nap time everyday. We have occasional outings, such as the Farm Park or Peoria Zoo, and will explore the neighborhood for lessons from nature. We have a membership to Peoria Playhouse and Wildlife Prairie Park. Every two weeks, we make a trip to the Peoria Public Library for extra reading and Tiny tots, making our reading fun!
The meal plan is preservative free and only things I would feed myself. I utilize Young Living Essential oils and diffuse Lavender and Peppermint for the kiddos. I also use all natural cleaning products, leaving behind no toxins for children to walk, crawl, or ingest.
