My name is Teri, I am a physically fit, middle aged, and experienced care provider. I have worked with Diabetes, Cancer, Parkinson's, and Alzheimer's patients as well as other health concerns, and will provide letters of recommendation. I am a widow and I live with my medium sized dog, Tiffany (6 1/2 yr), housebroken, loving, gentle, and offer an added sense of security.
I live in a lovely, nice, clean, three bedroom in a rural area of Marion on 13 acres, and have opened my home to (two) live in patients. I canprovide a happy and healthy family atmosphere to someone who needs it, and provide the best care, while hopefully, easing some of the worry the family has for placing their loved one in a commercial setting. I currently have two single bedrooms available at an affordable rate. I am good-natured, compassionate, reliable, and professional. It is important to me to provide a safe, happy, and healthy environment while providing care in a way that preserves a person's dignity, self respect, and quality of life. The home is in a great neighborhood, near shopping and only a few miles from the city of Marion. This is a lovely area for anyone who likes to get out and walk or wants to get out but just needs a little help. The rooms are furnished with comfortable beds, a chair, dresser, T.V. and cable, and ample closet space. The home has central air,bath/shower for relaxing, and a nice sized living room for movies or just to relax. There are two porches to enjoy the country views and the wonder of wildlife. In the summer, the yard has a small fish pond, flowers, vegetable garden, sun porch, deck and lots of areas to just sit and get fresh air. I have lots of movies, books, puzzles, and games to help with entertainment. I provide a minimum of three meals a day (special dietary needs can be accommodated). I assist to whatever degree is needed with.... Toilet needs, Bathing, Grooming, Dressing, Laundry, Meals (eating), Medications, Walking, Whatever else that may be needed for daily living. I also have some medical equipment if needed (Wheelchair, toilet chair, walker, shower bench, air mattress, hospital bed and bed alarms).
