I am DCFS licensed and a CPR/First Aid certified child care home. Does your child deserve the love and attention I can give? After having my own children in home day care and never feeling completely comfortable, I opened my home to families as a day care provider. I am an extension of your family. My house is a second home to your child. Your child will eventually feel as comfortable in my home as he is in yours.
As a DFCS licensed home you can expect a completely safe, secure and monitored environment for your child. DCFS makes unannounced visits several times a year. They check everything! Not just the obvious outlet covers. They check my well water, inside toys, all my play equipment, even for dips in the yard a child could trip on. I believe you should never put your child in a home that is not licensed.
I am continually educating myself in child development, special needs and nutrition.
Now down to what's really important. I am a wife (19 happy years) and a mother of two. My home is located at the end of a dead end street, with a fenced in one acre yard, blocks from Anderson School. My favorite thing to do is see my day care family's children smile when they learn new things that they are capable of doing. There is no joy greater than seeing a child accomplish new things. I teach ABC's, numbers, shapes, colors, and always have a science project going. We keep busy with games, crafts, art, and hands on discovery. My daycare children do not want to go home at the end of the day.
