Shooting Stars

Hello, thank you for your interest in my licensed home child care! I know it can be difficult taking your child/children to a new place, so I would like to give you a short introduction to my family and tell a little about myself and my child care.

My Family:
I have a kind and loving husband, two kind and friendly children (toddler boys), and a kind and well-trained dog (a male bichon frise'). We enjoy spending time with family and friends, and doing indoor and outdoor activities such as bowling, movies, games, cooking, going for walks, biking, park activities, and roller skating.

Myself:
I have two passions in life; dance and children! I have over 10yrs of experience working with children in Pre-K through 5th grade for Fort Wayne Community Schools (FWCS). I also have over 10yrs of experience teaching dance to adults and children ages 5-18yrs. I have choreographed for various Churches, youth centers, dance studios, famous entertainers and independent groups. I am a Licensed Home Child Care, I have a Child Development Associates (CDA), and I plan to continue my education in early childhood by taking classes and going to workshops.

My child care:
My goal is to provide a safe and clean environment. Encourage social and language skills, small and large motor skills, self-help skills, and responsibility. Provide activities and experiences to explore reading, writing, math, science, music, art, and dance. Practice and learn about health, nutrition and hygiene. Support families by providing an open line of communication and information about community programs or activities to assist with health, educational, emotional or financial needs.
