Shooting Star Home Day Care

I am a stay at home mom with my 16 month old son and he loves playing with other children and babies. I am opening my loving home environment to provide child care in Noblesville to a few lucky kids. I have set up a wonderful play area that is completely baby proofed and perfect for children to play and learn. Everything in my son's bedroom (adjacent to the playroom) is completely baby-proofed as well (bookshelf attached to wall, plugs protectors and so on) We are a college educated, non-smoking, very health conscious family. Breastfeeding friendly (member of Breastfeeding USA and will be studying to become a certified breastfeeding counselor as well), cloth diaper friendly, baby-wearing friendly, use only safe natural cleaners and First Aid/ CPR certified through the American Heart Association (includes infant CPR). I am also very familiar with many different types of allergies as I used to work in an allergy clinic before I gave birth to my son. We have no pets. I have over 10 years experience caring for children.
I used to study as well as teach dance. I can teach children modern dance, ballet, choreography, and more if their age and attention span permit this and you wish me to. We practice letters, numbers, colors and shapes every day and read LOTS of books. We do baby sign language. My parenting style is to stay attuned and emotionally available to my children while reading their cues to interpret what they want and what their emotional needs are. I reward behavior that is desirable, and when my child's behavior is less desirable (it usually means he is tired!) We distract him with books, songs, rocking him to sleep. If that doesn't work bringing him outdoors for a walk always does!
I invite children aged newborn and up and ideally it will be on a full time basis during the week, but we can be flexible if you are a good fit. I will charge $40 per day or $150 per week. Hours can be flexible early am or late into the evening if need be. I can provide nutritious organic snacks for toddler-aged children (exceptions will be breastmilk/formula or baby food and diapers) I have most supplies on hand if you forget to bring something for your child. Located in Noblesville near the corner of 146th and SR 37 (Near Marsh and the Urgent Care Clinic).
