Shim's Playland Infant Daycare

Shim's Playland Infant Daycare is a home based Reggio Emilia inspired child care that focuses on educating children through exploration of the environment using natural developmentally appropriate materials. All materials are disinfected, clean, and safe. Our curriculum focuses on language development, motor skills and social-emotional development. Students learn English and Korean language through songs and games, and they enjoy many other developmental activities, such as reading, cooking, music, art and dancing!

Sharon Shim has been in the child care industry for 8 years. Her main experience is with infants and young toddlers. She got childcare units along with infants and toddlers units at Cal. State University of Long Beach. She believes in low child to teacher ratio so that the children get the support and care they need met. As a teacher who is trained at child care centers she will continue that in her home day care by having curriculums/lesson plans to help flow how the days will go and might look like but she will also go by what the children wants and interests are as well.
