Shelley's Nest In-home Daycare

As a previous stay at home Mom for the first 1.5 yrs of my son's life, I know the aches a parent goes thru when trying to find the perfect childcare for their child(ren). Can I trust this person with my child? Is the environment clean/safe? Will they be eating nutritious meals? Will they treat my child in a way I can feel comfortable with? The answer to these questions is YES...but can we trust everybody? No. It's a BIG leap we take when trusting those to protect, love, and nurture our children outside of our reach.

After I went back to work I saw the strides our son made at his previous in-home daycare. I feel there are certain skills and stimulants I could not provide him myself but with only the surroundings of other children...which is what lead me to where we are at now
After making a move to a new area and in search of childcare in a very limited time I realized I was not comfortable putting him just anywhere so that I could keep my job. (Of course there were a few places that seemed wonderful, but far out of our budget) At the end of the day, I was willing to sacrifice my job in order to make sure my son was in the best possible environment/care.




What I offer...
●Flexible schedule/hours M-F (possible wkends with advanced notice)
●Full-time/part-time availabilities
●Mostly organic meal plan/snacks
●Lots of 1:1 time, will have no more than 5-6 children
●Everything your child needs I have (crib, pack n' play, bouncers, swings, toys, crafts, books, music, etc)
●Daily report sheets of menu, activities, potty trip, nap times, etc
●Field trips (if parent permitted) to the library, park, movies, etc
●Themed weeks where we will focus on one subject for that week that include making crafts, baking, reading, projects, etc
●Holiday/birthday themed parties
●I do not believe in and WILL NOT physically discipline my child or anyone else's, even at request. I believe in positive reinforcement/redirection, leading by example, and time outs.
●Willing to work within your budget (I am understanding to this and dealt with the same issues)
●Excellent communication (I will send photos and daily texts to let you know how your child is doing each day)
●Indoor/outdoor activities (weather permitting)
~~~If you have an infant/toddler who is still on formula or in diapers, I do request you bring any of those items as I do not provide formula, diapers/wipes~~~
