I have been a Licensed Daycare Provider for 22 years. My program has allowed many friends and families to develop long term relationships. Many of my former children in care have now graduated from college and we continue to keep in touch.
This truly has been a career that is an extension of my personal family.
Our daily routine consist of circle time, reading books & using thinking skills. The preschool program I have designed encourages social & reasoning skills. Many fine motor skills & letter concepts are achieved.
Opening the Gift Librarian is scheduled monthly to present a reading program sponsored by the Harford County Library to introduce children to reading. We also enjoy many community resources by having "bring the field trip to us". This allows the children to learn on site. For example, the Bel Air Fire Department brought the fire truck to my program, the Firemen gave a tour to the children and let them wear their uniform.
This was good for all age groups even under 2.
We go outside daily, weather permitting. Focus on healthy food choices & promote exercise.
A monthly newsletter is given at the beginning of each new month to review themes/events coming up.
Children bring back packs and folders.
