Hi There

A little about myself - I am married with 3 beautiful children who are now 10, 8 and 4. We live in Greenville and really enjoy the quiet country feel close to the benfits and opportunities Appleton has to offer. I have been doing in home childcare since 2016 which has given me the opportunity to stay home with my kids as well as care for other families.

A little about my style of care - I like to have a good balance of structured and imaginative play. We have lots of space for the kids to explore and educational toys for the kids to play with and pretend with and most importantly learn. I sometimes engage and encourage the kids in activities of daily living such as dusting and vacuuming and every day putting away what we play with before getting out new things to play with. I also think its important to fuel our minds and bodies with healthy and nutritious foods and so the snacks and meals provided are whole foods, fruits and veggies. We have a good size back yard that is backed up to woods and in it is a trampoline, some swings and a sandbox. We do daily activities like coloring, painting, playing with play doh, making slime, baking, doing arts and crafts, and learning about numbers and letters. We also work on skills that encourage large motor, small motor, cognitive, social and emotional development. Learning to be polite, respectful, caring and kind are basics that I require of my little friends every day.
My personality - I like to consider myself to be a down to earth, nurturing, and empathetic person who understands the wants, needs and emotions of young children's hearts. I love the renewed energy, excitement and passion they bring to my house each morning. I enjoy watching the excitment they share when they discover or learn something new. I have been blessed to know and care for so many families that I have provided care for in one way or another since I was 16. At one point I worked at Our Shepherd childcare center in Appleton for 2 years as a teachers assistant in the 2 and 3 year old classroom. This gave me the opportunity to learn first hand how important the balance of structured play and free play is throughout a childs day.
