Our philosophy is simple: we re committed to supporting the independence and dignity of every person we serve. When health conditions and life stages create the need for a little help or even full-time care, we know firsthand the changes that follow can be confusing, emotional and overwhelming. We feel strongly that those changes don t have to include moving your loved one away from the safe, familiar, nurturing environment of home.
Second Family Senior Care provides non-medical care for as little as 3 hours upto 24 hours a day. We can help with all of the activities of daily living including dressing/grooming, bathing, continence care, meal preparation and light housekeeping. We can also assist by simply providing companionship and security to someone who is a fall risk or living with dementia. All of our home care aides are background checked and trained, and we are insured and bonded so you can trust that your loved one is safe.
We know there are a lot of options when it comes to home care companies. We believe the difference is in the details. Your experience starts with a personal in-home consultation to get to know you and your loved one better. We want to ensure we are matching up home health aides that are not only qualified, but someone your loved one would enjoy the company of. We want to sit down and discuss what your expectations are so we can meet and exceed them. While our staff is educated and experienced, they are not familiar with your loved one. There is a lot that goes into senior care from diet needs/preferences, cleaning preferences, daily routine, behavioral needs, emotional needs, and management of medical conditions per doctor/nurse instructions. It can be a daunting task for you or your loved one to explain that to multiple aides so we handle that for you. Our caregivers will be trained to meet your loved one s specific needs by your Care Coordinator or at times another caregiver already assigned on the home.
We pride ourselves in being an excellent care partner. Our Care Coordinators are in constant communication with you and your loved one. We partner with physical and occupational therapists by assisting with assigned exercises daily to promote strength, mobility, and independence. We partner with home care nurses to monitor and assist with overall wellness. We partner with doctors to manage medical conditions. We partner with hospice to ensure your loved one has a pain-free, dignified end of life experience.…
