Often, when introducing myself to people, I identify myself by stating "I am a musician."

Music has been an integral part of my life ever since I began taking lessons as a young girl. The teachers I had prepared me for my future career as an educator, performer, church musician, and music therapist. Learning music also taught me discipline, promoted creativity, provided an outlet for self-expression, and gave me a sense of achievement. I am forever grateful.

My husband and I are both from small South Carolina towns, Gilbert and Greer, respectively. We both moved to Charleston to attend Charleston Southern University and met in the choral program in the Horton School of Music. We have made the Lowcountry our home, however, often enjoy traveling throughout the state for work and to visit friends and family.

I feel honored to not only be an instructor myself with SC Music Lessons, but also have the opportunity to work alongside an incredible team where each instructor either holds a college degree in music or has taught private lessons for 5+ years. Our team is diverse, teaching a variety of instruments and genres of music. This allows students to choose an instructor that is best suited to their interests and learning style.

I've organized our website in a way that allows you to learn about each instructor, view their specific availability, and see if they teach virtually, in-person, and/or provide in-home lessons, depending on your preference and needs.
