Chihuahua rescue. I have room to care for several Chihuahuas and other small breeds on a daily basis or while you are on vacation, facing surgery, etc. I founded a Chi rescue in Santa Barbara in the early 2000s. I have had several Chis (and other breeds) over the years. My mother indulged me with my first dog when I was just 5 years old. Since that, I have had a dog or thirteen at a time! My first Chihuahua, Pepe, was adopted in 1980. Pepe, a Chi-Mexican hairless mix, lived to the ripe age of 21 years. He still occupies a place in my heart. I have rescued well over 30-40 dogs over the years. However, due to my own cancer and that I care full-time for my elderly parents, I have no discretionary income to rescue. I am well-educated, stable, have a fully fenced small back yard and could make your workday less stressful by caring for your loved one.
