I am available for in-home care. I am the father/step-father of three children with special needs. I have taken care of my step-son, now 21, and my step-daughter, now 18, for the last 12 years. My step-son has severe physical and mild emotional, social and learning disabilities. My step-daughter has autism. My youngest daughter, who is 8, has down syndrome. I have taken care of all three with great compassion and enthusiasm. I try to incorporate learning with play as much as possible, but know the importance of just plain having fun. I also know the importance of boundaries and proper behavior. I may be new to the business of home care, but I have lot's of experience. My rate is negotiable, based upon the level of care needed.
