Salt Meadow Academy is a Reggio inspired, nature-based, licensed family home childcare and preschool program in Clinton, Connecticut that offers an environment where the child's natural desire to learn is stimulated through meaningful, appropriate, and playful learning experiences; one that meets the needs of each child as an individual. Salt Meadow Academy is owned and operated by Jillian Shepard who is a state approved designated head teacher for birth to 5 and school-age children. Jillian holds a Bachelors and a Masters Degree and has over 15 years of childcare experience and education.

Offering full-time and part-time childcare with a developmentally appropriate curriculum for all children in attendance.

Salt Meadow Academy is open Monday - Friday 7:30am to 5:30pm.

The yard at Salt Meadow Academy is a Certified Wildlife Habitat by the National Wildlife Federation. In order to be certified, our property needs to provide the four basic habitat elements needed for wildlife to thrive: food, water, cover, and places to raise young.
