Saint Paul Early Childhood Ministries serves children six weeks old through Pre-K. Our Academic Mother’s Day Out program runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, and our Extended Day program is from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Since 1962, our preschool program has focused on utilizing a child’s natural curiosity to build a strong educational base. We maintain an atmosphere of play and fun, with positive reinforcement and age-appropriate curriculum and activities – all in a loving, Christian environment that builds the child’s self-esteem. Our low student-to-teacher ratios ensure a safe and nurturing environment.

Our classrooms all utilize Frog Street curriculum, which is a research based, comprehensive curriculum that meets the diverse learning needs of children, while simultaneously fostering growth across various developmental learning domains. This curriculum, grounded in early brain research, empowers our teachers to nurture vital developmental milestones and establish a solid educational groundwork for our young learners. Aligned with the Texas Pre-Kindergarten Guidelines, the Frog Street Curriculum ensures that your child is well-prepared for the transition to Kindergarten and beyond.

In addition to the Frog Street curriculum, we also implement Conscious Discipline, an approach that equips children with the necessary tools to recognize the significance of their emotions, understand that they are manageable, and realize that the ability to regulate them lies within themselves. Our focus is on guiding children to progress from instances of physical or verbal aggression towards achieving calm self-regulation, making informed decisions through cooperation and empathy, and appreciating the values of respect and empathy towards others.

We recently received a four star rating (the highest rating possible!) from Texas Rising Star, a quality rating and improvement system for Texas early childhood programs. By choosing to become TRS certified, our school has committed to exceeding the minimum standards for childcare centers in Texas and providing a higher quality learning environment for the children in our program.
