Saint Mark Kindergarten

Saint Mark Kindergarten offers exceptional early childhood education to the "over the mountain" area. Our goal is to provide a positive environment in which the child will develop an interest in learning and a confidence in his/her own abilities, through cognitive and sensory activities that challenge the child in a developmentally appropriate manner. We work to enhance each child's awareness of God's love and to teach children to care for all of God's creation.
Although it is not required of church based programs, Saint Mark chooses to be licensed by the State of Alabama as one way to maintain high standards.
The staff members are mature, well-educated and highly experienced teachers. All members of the staff are required to have 12 or more hours of continuing education each year and most are CPR certified. Most importantly, all of our staff members are loving, nurturing Christians who enjoy being with young children.
All students attend enrichment classes each week including Chapel, Music, Spanish, Move and Groove and Discovery Cove. 4 and 5 year old classes also attend computer class. Throughout the year, the classes have special visitors such as Fire Department, Police Officers, Dental Hygienists, artists, musicians, scientists and more!
We also love to share what the children are learning with their parents with a Thanksgiving and Christmas program as well as Father's night, Mother's Day Teas and our Annual Art Show.
Saint Mark hours are Monday-Friday 9am-1pm. We offer early care 7:00-9:00, stay and play from 1:00-2:00 and full care 7:00-4:30.
