Our Mission

This business provides care for children in a small home-based setting. We believe that a family style environment is beneficial for young children as it enables them to develop an attachment to just one trusted caregiver as opposed to the revolving staff turnover that occurs in larger child care facilities which can lead to feelings of abandonment and insecurity in children. It is also beneficial to parents because they know that with one person providing consistent care for their child, miscommunication between staff will not be an issue. In addition, this type of setting allows for a mixed-age group of children to receive care together, which is ideal for families with siblings.

Our Philosophy

I believe that a parent's role is vital in the life of a child. As a working parent myself, I understand the tug on a parent's heart when they must leave their child in the care of someone else. That's why I believe it is so important to develop a trusting relationship with your child's caregiver and to have that assurance that they will support you in the goals you have for your child and communication is key to that. Children are born with an inherent ability to trust and a curiosity about the world around them. My goal is to encourage that trust and curiosity so they can develop self confidence and dare to reach for their dreams-thus the name Roots and Wings. Let the roots of love and trust go down deep thus enabling them to have wings of confidence to fly.
