Robyn's Nest

Hi! My name is Robyn! I have a degree in Early Childhood Education. I have experience in schools and centers, as well as in-home care. I currently live in Elyria (Eastern Heights South) and do child care in my home while I homeschool my son.

I focus on the whole child! I teach manners and self-help skills. I provide activities that are developmentally appropriate and that follow the Ohio Infant and Toddler Guidelines and/or the Early Learning Content Standards. Activities also include reading, music, sensory, dramatic play, yoga and creative physical activity, nutrition, science/nature exploration, sign language, Spanish, and early phonics. We do lots of art, both creative and structured. We go outside as much as possible, even in the rain and snow as long as proper attire is provided. I also work closely with Kindergarten teachers to ensure children are ready for school when the time comes. Our home is a split level and the lower level is dedicated to child care and is our play room. Our yard is fully fenced and we have no pets to worry about.
