The Robert E. Simon, Jr. Children's Center is designed to meet the emotional, social, physical and intellectual needs of children in a safe, child-oriented environment. The center is a non-profit corporation created to meet the childcare needs of the community. Our childcare philosophy accommodates the developmental stages of every child. The center respects each individual and allows for flexibility and choice. Children learn best through organized and free play. We promote and support active developmental learning through play. We welcome diversity and will support the acquisition of the home language while teaching English in the classroom. The center is licensed by the state of Virginia and has been accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) since August 2000.
