Rita's Family Day Care

My family day care is a warm, happy and loving environment. I have been providing day care for children in my home since 1990, so I have a strong understanding of what children and parents need. I am also a mother of 2 daughters, ages 29 and 32, and a grandmother of 2 beautiful grandchildren. For these 24 years, I have had only happy clients, most of who continue on as friends long after day care services are complete. I look forward to Halloween and the Holidays when many of my previous families stop by to visit! I love to see how the children from my daycare have grown.

My home is located on a quiet and safe cul-de-sac in the heart of East Brunswick, NJ, perfect for walks, stroller rides and bike rides which we go on often. I also have a spacious backyard with a patio, sandbox, small Barbie playhouse and swing set. My home is designed around my daycare, so I have designated rooms and spaces for play time, nap time, creative arts time and meal times. I value healthy meals, physical activities, creative arts, and educational activities, and I integrate these aspects into the day-to-day activities of my daycare.

My home is inspected every three years by a NJ State inspector, arranged through my parent organization, Community Child Care Solutions (http://www.communitychildcaresolutions.org). This organization is also where I earn my daycare educational credits through courses that I attend on a regular basis on topics like nutrition, safety and emergency care, child development in the areas of physical and mental health, and engaging activities for children ages newborn-5. I am CPR certified and have been trained in first aid and I am a NJ State registered family childcare provider.

I work with children ages newborn - 5, and I have had up to 5 children at my daycare at one time. Recently, I've had on average 3 children at a time. I prefer this so that I can tailor my care to the children's individual needs.

My daycare is open Monday-Friday from 7:30-5:30. My fee is $200 per week.

If you're considering my family daycare for your child, I am happy to provide referrals to you from previous families that I have worked with. I would also be happy to arrange a meeting where you could come meet me and see my home. I understand how important of a decision this is, so I want you to feel as comfortable as possible.
