About the business
We remove the cause of the problem, so the problem and need for tutoring is eliminated. The Davis Dyslexia program is the most used method in the world for the elimination of dyslexia, being successfully provided in 44 countries and 20 different languages.
Nearly every trained Davis facilitator is either a teacher, parent, relative, doctor, psychologist, or special education instructor who has personally experienced the success of the Davis program and chosen to become certified to provide its value to others--what better recommendation!
Visual thinkers are gifted with incredible imaginations, but they often have problems in word and math areas which can be corrected in one year after working with me for 30 hours. During this time, a parent is also trained to continue the program over just one year at home, involving approximately 4-6 hours of required activities per week. Emails and phone conferences are provided to support and help if needed during the one year of required home activities.
A 5-hour assessment and consultation with the client and parents is available for $350. Please look carefully at my website and that of ne-dyslexia to get a better idea of our program. References on request.
The Illinois State Board of Education has approved me as an instructor to provide CPDU professional credits during the assessment/consult.
As we explain to clients how gifted they are due to their visual thinking style, understandings of how to use these gifts to optimize their learning and create future success grow bigger with each day.
We provide tools for self-control of focus, stress, frustration, and energy levels that will be needed throughout their lifetime for success and happiness.
We provide the best techniques geared for visual thinkers as they read, write, spell, and communicate. Other programs provide help with ADD/ADHD, life skills and decision making, and math.
Understanding is a 2 sided coin--to understand self and to be understood. On one side is the self understanding that explains clearly and simply why a smart person can have difficulty in school. "Whew, I'm not dumb, I just need to control my thinking style- my super-duper imagination." " You mean my style of thinking is like Einstein, Steve Jobs, Walt Disney, Henry Ford, and many presidents, inventors, and designers!"
The second side of the coin provides understanding to those around our clients, so they can support and empathize.
