SUMMER CHILDCARE (Ages 0 to 6)!!!
Education. I am a teacher staying home with my children for the summer and since I will be preparing Nigel for Kindergarten and Naima for PK-4, we will engage in daily reading, writing, math, science, and art lessons throughout the day (which will be adjusted for developmental appropriateness).
Trips. We will take trips to some of New Orleans finest parks: Joe Brown Park, Audubon Park, or City Park. As well we will interact with other children at New Orleans East Public Library for story hour. We will make special trips to Audubon Aquarium, Audubon Zoo and The Children's Museum.
Structure. Typically, drop-off time will be 7 a.m. and pick-up time will be 4 p.m. Nevertheless, I will try to accommodate parent's schedules, so I will discuss scheduling with each family individually. A weekly schedule will be provided with lunch and activity information. There will be a daily nap time from approximately 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.
Extras. Before and Aftercare available. Weekend care available. Tutoring in English Language Arts (7th through 12th grade) available. ALSO, ELMWOOD IS OFFERING GYMNASTICS AND SWIMMING LESSONS. IF ALL PARENTS ARE WILLING TO SIGN THEIR CHILDREN UP, I CAN ARRANGE THE SCHEDULE TO TAKE ALL CHILDREN TO AND FROM THEIR WEEKLY LESSONS DURING THE DAY TIME.
