Welcome to Precious Jewels Academy a Christian family childcare home. I am a professional childcare provider, who has been working with children since 1997. PJA has been opened since 2004. The Cabinet for Families and Children has licensed me to provide childcare in my home. My goal is to provide all of the Precious Jewels God has blessed me with a clean, safe, comfortable, loving, home-like environment, where they can play and learn. Respect towards God, self, others, and the environment will be emphasized. I believe in the value of both structured and flexible activities. Structured activities will include the use of a preschool curriculum, daily Bible stories, regular reading times, exercise, rest, arts, crafts, and musical activities. Outdoor play, free play, parties, educational and fun videos are some of the more flexible activities children are exposed to. The most important priority is for children to have FUN, learn about God, oneself, and the world. I believe, every moment is a "teachable" moment with children. One must be willing to take advantage of it and teach when it arises.
Children who have attended PJA perform well above grade level when they enter school because of the strong educational component of the program.
