I have been a client of Ponce DeLeon Animal Clinic for over thirteen years. I have paid them thousands of dollars in services over the years. I was a loyal customer, until today.

I left my boxer for boarding for a span of 4 days. When I picked him up today, I was told I owed them a little over $338. They claimed he had a stomach ache, thew up and took it upon themselves to administer anti-nausea medications costing approximately $190.00.

They further stated the Vet called me and advised me of this issue. Although, I did receive a call, it was not from the Vet, it was from a staff member who asked me if my dog was still taking levocrine, a previously prescribed medication. No other information was exchanged during this phone call, I never received any additional phone calls, nor was I contacted for consent to provide non-emergency medical services.

When I questioned the charges I was told I provided consent for any medical services the clinic deems necessary during his stay, at the customers cost, of course. Furthermore, I picked up my dog in the evening, he was not walked or feed prior to my arrival. He was anxious and eager to leave. I do not recommend using this clinic, they have become untrustworthy, the staff is rude and the service is not worth the inflated costs.
