Plum Massage Therapy aspires to balance the individual by using touch to communicate directly with the body's nervous system -- whether to relax, relieve pain & discomfort or aid the body in its own healing process. Our body's nervous system is the communication center that tells our muscles and tissues to tighten and strain, our vital organs to work overtime, and our brain to feel pain. By communicating to the nervous system through massage, one can lessen stress, achieve greater mobility and feel less pain. While many types of massage can be helpful on their own, I often combine techniques so that you receive the greatest benefit possible. I will work with you to adapt each session to your needs at that particular time. Plum specializes in Pregnancy Massage and Infant Massage Education, but offers Relaxation Massage, Deep/Myofascial Release and Hot Stone Massage as well.
