Play & Learn Home Child Care is a state licensed home daycare in the Jefferson Park neighborhood of Chicago. We provide a safe, warm, loving environment, to create a 'home away from home' atmosphere, where children can play, learn and grow.
Play & Learn was created by Nicole Selvaggio in 2013. After having her son in 2011, she decided to look for opportunities where she could work, yet spend a lot of her time with her son. Having had 6 years experience working in a daycare center setting during college, and having a friend who ran a home daycare, Nicole left her career in the hotel industry, to work in her friends home daycare. After 2 years of working in the home daycare setting, Nicole found a perfect location to run her own home daycare. She spent a year watching just a couple of children, while becoming licensed and perfecting her location. She has been officially licensed for a year and has been lucky enough to provide care for a number of families, most who have been with her for about a year already.
We are located just a couple of blocks from the Jefferson Park CTA Blue Line and Metra stations, and from the i90 highway entrance; making it a perfect location for parents who may need to commute downtown for work.
