I am a mom and grandmother. I raised 3 children of my own children as well as countless others. I began working in a private school when my oldest daughter was 5 years old and started kindergarten. I continued to teach until our family relocated to SC in 1998. After moving we decided to homeschool our children because of the flexibility it provided and to be honest we could not afford private school tuition for 3 children. This decision allowed me to begin caring for children in my home and provide them with a quality education, throughly preparing them for public or private school by age 4/5.

I embrace the Montessori concept of hands in learning. Children remember information better if they can touch it, feel it and act it out, as opposed to just seeing and hearing. I use a literary curriculum that allows the children to dive into over 40 great books over the course of the school year. Curriculum starts at 18 months but the integrated module of learning allows our younger children to be present and glean from our older children. It's amazing how much information is caught by just being present in the same room.

There are no hidden fees, tuition allows me to purchase curriculum as well as supplies. If your child is struggling in any area I will let you know and together we can come up with a plan to help.

Many of my daycare parents have become an extension of our family. I have had a working relationship with many of these families for an average of 10 years. I've had the privilege of helping them raise multiple children as their families grew. We still keep in touch and it's fun to see how amazing these children have turned out. My first daycare child recently graduated college and got married.

I have also maintained many volunteers roles as well as employment as director over elementary and preschool ministries.
