I had a few bad experiences with PetSitters. After booking 2 visits on my wedding day, we came home after 15 hours to find that no one ever came by. I figured it was a mistake (big one); however, decided to give them another try. After several successful visits, I came home earlier than expected and my dog was missing. After several phone calls, I was told that my dog was in the car with 3-5 others dogs about 10 miles from my home. I never agreed to have my dog with other dogs and never agreed to car rides. She was apparently in the car for about 4 hours.
