About the business
Kristin Y. is first a dog lover, then a dog trainer. Working with pets since 2005, Kristin became a dog trainer to help improve the relationships that families have with their dogs, a happier life comes from a house with a well mannered dog. To date Kristin has trained over 400 dogs, not including dogs at rescues or shelters!
Kristin became a Certified Dog Trainer through Animal Behavior College in June of 2009, where she learned how to train a dog using all the quadrants of dog training. She became an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator, Community Canine Evaluator and AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Instructor in April of 2010 because she believes working towards a common training goal can help motivate owners to achieve the highest levels of training. With her passion for training and educating Kristin became a Certified Mentor Trainer for the Animal Behavior College Dog Training Program in 2013 to help mold learning minds to effectively train dogs at any level with the least amount of force as possible. Most recently Kristin has become an Evaluator for Therapy Pets Unlimited in September of 2014 so canine teams can use their hard work in training to enrich the members of their community. Kristin is a proud member of the Pet Professional Guild and is working toward multiple certifications and affiliations. Kristin is constantly researching, practicing and attending at least monthly continuing education seminars revolving around the latest and greatest proven methods of dog training. If Kristin is not attending a workshop in person or an online class, she is reading a new book, article or study to learn more. Kristin has been an active voting member and volunteer for a Humane Society since 2013. In October of 2014 Kristin became the Assistant Obedience & Rally Show Chair for a county Cluster Dog Show with kennel clubs. She is also a member of a Kennel Club where she offers discounted obedience classes for members. Kristin believes in giving back to the local animal community and supports several non-profit organizations.
Group Classes are $100.00 per 6 week courses.
Private Classes start at $45.00 per hour.
