Penny's Daycare

I have been a licensed childcare provider for 36 years. I believe there is no greater investment for a better future than to positively influence the lives of children. I have two children of my own, who are now grown adults, but they mean everything to me, as I know your child/children mean to you also. I strive to build self esteem, nurture a positive self image, and provide a secure learning environment in an atmosphere of joy and care for each child. There is lots of hugs and love to go around.

I am enrolled in the food program, and also provide a daily learning curriculum for 3 to 5 years old (September - May) that is included in your weekly cost. I also do many fun learning activities with the children under 3 years old, and with the right learning tools, all ages can participate. I find with kids that at any age there's never an end to how far you can go with learning. There are so many tools out there that encourage learning, and make it fun and something they look forward to each day.

During the summer time we spend a lot of time outside as long as the weather cooperates. We incorporate learning activities into outdoor play time, too. I run a structured daycare but I also am a believer that a "kid needs to be a kid" at times and use their imagination and let them have a day once in a while to just do whatever they want to do. Those sometimes are their favorite days!

Activities for the children include: playing outside (fenced in backyard), going to the park, playing board games, doing arts and crafts, and many learning activities (puzzles, building blocks, baking, color and shape games and so much more).
