Welcome to Penelope's Daycare! Brand new all ages in-home licensed daycare. My name is Lourdes and I have 8 years of experience as a daycare teacher, as well as raising 5 children of my own. I left my job as a daycare teacher to take care of my granddaughter and decided to start my own in home daycare since I love taking care of children so much. I have college units in child development and am also CPR certified. I continue to take child development classes as well. I think it's important to stay up to date with new child development findings, safety, and nutrition.
I will not just be a "babysitter" to your child, I will be a teacher and make sure to prepare them for preschool/kindergarten. We will go over daily learning criteria, participate in circle time and sing-a-longs, have playtime outside, and snack and nap time. As a mother myself, I know how hard it is to leave your precious angels when you have to go to work to support your family. It's important to leave them with someone you trust and know they will be safe. If you choose me as your daycare provider, you will feel confident knowing that your child is in a safe and loving environment. I will send you pictures of your children throughout the day, just to provide you with that extra comfort of seeing them laughing and having fun.
