I have been passionate in my commitment to three things: maximizing individual student performance, inspiring students' interest in technology and instilling a sense of self- worth among all students. I have dedicated my career to each of these pursuits.
My qualification includes 24 years of experience teaching in high school, and coaching math the last four years at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College (NWTC). I celebrate diversity, achieve academic excellence and use technology as a learning tool. I am a great listener and patient. I believe knowledge and communication skills are essential for this position, which are my strengths. When I was working as a Mathematics Teacher in Persia, I needed to be organized in the classroom with 30+ students. In addition, I took the initiative to solve multiple questions and concerns without judgement. My students relied on me to be a positive support and guide them to success.
As a teacher, I utilize a process to help each student be successful. I begin by evaluating each student's level of learning, and then initiate different ways to solve the student's area of concern. To make the problem more understandable for the students, I give them real life examples. Through this system I am able to instill confidence in the student and increase their feelings of self-efficacy.
