Daycare Center

Parchment Meth Co-op Preschool

225 Glendale Blvd, Kalamazoo, MI 49004

About

Our co-op preschool is a 1/2 day program available to students ages: 2 1/2 to 5 years old. We usually only offer classes in the morning hours 9-11:30 AM, but if enrollment fills up these sessions we would have PM classes available. We offer the chance for parents to be involved in their child's education by helping to work in the classroom. If you are a working parent though we do offer an opting out option with an aide who can fill in for you on these days. We offer a class for younger students that is geared to helping them build socialization skills and learning more about how a school day is a structured environment. The older class is working on preparation for kindergarten skills with working on a Handwriting Without Tears program workbook, Zoophonics to help with early literacy skills and hands on math curriculum activities. We offer time in our program each day for all students to explore the classroom freely, large and small group instruction with a daily art project, fine motor skill development, and gym or outdoor time. We take monthly field trips to area businesses as a class to go along with our thematic curriculum throughout the year.
