In-Home Daycare
Douglas Park, Rock Island, IL 61201
Hi! Thank you for considering me as potential daycare provider to work with you and your child. I am a Patricia Anderson (but all my parents and kids call me Ms. Pat) and I am the owner of P.A. s Home Day Care. I live in Rock Island, Illinois, only 3 miles from the Arsenal. As a Rock Island Arsenal Child, Youth and School Services Family Childcare (RIA CYSS FCC Home), I am dedicated to providing compassionate and loving care to children (infants to preschool) of Military and DoD Civilians . I am 53 years old with one daughter, Peyton, who is 13 years old. I received my license as a daycare provider more than 10 years ago and have taken care of children in my home for over a decade. Amenities and certifications I maintain include: pet free home, non-smoking home, certified in Red Cross First Aid and CPR and a RIA CYSS FCC Home. I also am committed to continuous education and regularly attend seminars and classes related to child development. My goal as a partner in ensuring the well-being of your child is to respect your role as a parent, build two-way communication, and synchronize with your childrearing goals and practices. Each day I provide age appropriate fun and educational activities, share information about your child s growth and activities during the time spent in my program, practice fine motor skills, and allow for each child s natural creativity to blossom and grow. Other activities at P.A. s Daycare include reading and literacy, music enrichment, puzzles, pretend play (dress up, kitchen, etc.), sensory play (tossing or catching, etc.). We also spend time developing large motor skills, whether marching and dancing inside or running and jumping outside (weather permitting) in the summer and even sometimes in the winter snow too! One of my favorite activities is art and crafts, when we use our creativity to celebrate holidays and cultural celebrations. My parents especially enjoy the special crafts the kids bring home. I love to cook and enjoy preparing and serving nutritious meals that comply with USDA food program and appeal to children, while promoting lifelong healthy food choices. I am always open to suggestions and feel that provider-to-parent communication is essential to collaborate on solutions. I recognize that parents have to work and realize that I am entrusted with your most precious gifts- your children.
