Oxford Street Montessori

Oxford Street Montessori is a high-quality licensed in-home daycare dedicated to providing child-centered, developmentally appropriate care for children ages 12 months to 3.5 years old. OSM is owned and operated by Tinora Powell, a certified Montessori teacher with 10 consecutive years experience working with young children. Tinora is a former lead teacher at a Montessori school and uses positive discipline practices and a user-friendly electronic observation tool which provides a window for parents into their child's day.

Oxford Street Montessori is located near the Glendale Mall in a cozy mid-century modern single story home. The front half of the house has been converted into a Montessori environment prepared for children ages 12 months - 3.5 years old. There is also a side patio which functions as an outdoor learning space, as well as a large backyard with a garden and lots of room to roam. There are three friendly household cats on site with which children can interact and learn to care for: Lucky Lou, Tiny Cat, and Onion.

Children who attend OSM will benefit from practicing practical life skills, arts & crafts, music & movement, hand-eye coordination, and language development.
Practical life skills include, but are not limited to: food preparation, watering plants, brushing teeth, blowing nose, cleaning windows, baking, dish washing, getting dressed and undressed, arranging flowers and more!
