Our Playhouse Preschool And Kindergarten

Our PlayHouse opened its doors in Lexington, Kentucky August of 2015. We offer a play-based emergent curriculum complete with low teacher to child ratios. Come see our environment and how it is designed to promote exploration, adventure and play.

We believe that children are active participants in their own learning. That is why we encourage them to ask questions, to explore the world around them, and to share what they discover. It's why we develop our classroom projects based on the interests of the children themselves. And it's why we like them to get dirty. In order to learn about the world, sometimes you've got to play in the dirt!

The Reggio-Emilia approach to early childhood education emphasizes the playful, creative nature of children not just as an inherent quality, but as a key tool for learning.
