Once Upon A Weed

Hi there I'm Rachael. A stay at home mom to two little's (a three year old and two year old). I love the outdoors, foraging, and most of all teaching the children about this beautiful planet. I'm already in 'children' mode and would love to watch a couple children.

We practice letters, numbers, talk about the weather and spend a lot of time walking around our 3 acres, gathering items to 'make things' with our imagination or collect eggs to hatch. We have a few 'trails' for the kids and I to walk, as well as lots of areas set up inside. There's space for racing cars, tables for blocks and legos, a kitchen for them to pretend play as well as a full little people village upstairs and dozens of outfits to dress up in.

I love having the kids help me harvest vegetables in the garden (we do two a year), as well as in the kitchen. I also believe play is very important for their development and encourage them to play together or independently as they'd like throughout the day.

I'd love to meet with another family, have you visit, meet us and see our space. If we both feel we'd be a good fit we can go from there. I would love something more part time -3-4 days a week. The hours are less important. As are the days. I'm very open to working around schedules. I'm also willing to be 'on call' for when you might just need a last minute sitter. Let's meet and I'm sure we can work something out.
