Odyssey Early School - Trace Crossings

Founded in 1995, Odyssey Early Schools provides a safe, healthy and nurturing educational childcare environment for children ages 6 weeks through 5 years, plus After School and Summer Camp through fourth grade.

Our professionally-developed curriculum is an age-appropriate tool guiding our staff as they provide an effective learning environment geared towards both whole-classroom and individual instruction.

Odyssey offers low ratios throughout all age groups, with Infants at 4:1, Toddlers at 6:1 and Preschool ranging from 8:1 to 10:1.

Odyssey features unparalleled facilities with classrooms stocked with an abundance of learning activities and our playgrounds are simply awesome with fun structures and awnings providing shade from the hot sun.

Not only does Odyssey guarantee licensed/certified teachers with college degrees in all preschool classrooms, but we also have a very low staff turnover rate. From 2010-2013, we have averaged less than 13% annual turnover (in an industry where the national average is greater than 50%). Our staff is well-compensated and offered full benefits, including earned leave, holiday pay and group medical and dental insurance. We also try to do the "little things" for our staff such as holding monthly birthday parties at which the entire staff is treated to lunch and cake and the staff with birthdays receive a gift.

Our facilities are exceptionally safe. We have a secure lobby preventing access to the classrooms without use of a security code and the buildings are surrounded by tall wrought-iron fencing with locked gates. All exterior doors are equipped with alarms that buzz whenever opened.

Our Internet Video Monitoring System allows Odyssey families to log in to our network using a username and password of their choosing that grants them viewing rights in their child's classroom. This service enables our families to keep up with exactly what's going on the rooms each day and to be alerted if there's ever an issue that they'd like to address with the classroom, administrative or ownership teams.
