About the business
We teach the different methods of hand building with clay. (Hand building classes are open to children at least 6 yrs. old.) We will start with rolling the clay to the right shape to make a pinch pot. The child/adult will learn how to work with slabs and coils. All students over the age of 11 can work on the wheel. Throwing on the wheel the student will learn how to center, throw a bowl and a cylinder. They will need a towel and old shirt or apron for all classes. To finish the pieces the firing and glazing supplies are covered in the class fee. Each student will be taught the different methods of glazing & discuss the firing process. Class times are listed below. Plus we will be offer a steam program with clay.
